About us

In our group we are interested in the the design of proteins. Particularly, in how to build new folded proteins that present functionality like ligand binding or enzymatic reactions. We observe evolutionary mechanisms present in Nature and use them as inspiration to design new proteins, while design provides a meticulous test of evolutionary hypotheses.
